Meet THE 800XL™, a faithful recreation of Atari's best-selling 8-bit home computer, from the ground-breaking Atari computer family that introduced millions to gaming, programming and digital creativity.
Designed to recapture the magic of classic Atari computing, it combines authentic styling with modern convenience, featuring a full-size mechanical keyboard, cartridge slot, HDMI output, and 25 built-in games.
Whether you're rediscovering childhood favourites or exploring Atari's legendary games for the first time, THE 800XL delivers the definitive Atari home computer experience for both long-time fans and a new generation of players, creators, and enthusiasts.
With support for Atari 8-bit home computer software, as well as games developed for the Atari 5200® console, THE 800XL offers access to decades of classic games and software. Instantly play iconic titles such as Centipede®, Missile Command®, M.U.L.E. and Battlezone™, or load games you own from a USB flash drive.
For those who still have a collection of Atari cartridges tucked away, THE 800XL features a working cartridge slot compatible with most original Atari 8-bit cartridges, letting you enjoy your favourite software just as you remember it.
Completing the experience is a refined THECXSTICK, a modern recreation of Atari's iconic joystick that captures the feel of the original while adding extra versatility for today's players.
For long-time Atari fans and newcomers alike, THE 800XL lets you discover what made Atari's 8-bit computers so special.
